Scrubbing a shower? Your phone’s covered.

Keep scrubbing. The calls you miss mid‑clean go to Night Owl, which asks how big the home is and when they need it, books a time, and sends it all to your phone.

Callers hear up front that it’s an AI assistant and the call is recorded. Real texts include the caller’s number.

The problem

You’re in someone’s home. Your phone’s in your pocket.

The work is hands‑on, in other people’s homes, on a tight schedule. The calls don’t wait for your break, and the person asking for a quote has other cleaners to call.

  • Mid‑clean, gloves wet

You’re on your knees in a client’s bathroom, vacuum still going down the hall. Your back pocket buzzes. Peeling off wet gloves to take a call in someone else’s house isn’t an option, so it rings out.

  • Quote calls pile up

“What do you charge for a three‑bedroom?” It comes in at the first house, again at lunch, and again at the second house. By evening you have a list of callbacks, and some have already hired someone.

  • Move‑outs on a deadline

A renter learns on Tuesday that the keys go back Friday, and the deposit rides on the oven and the baseboards. They need a yes today, not a callback tomorrow.

How a call goes

A move‑out with a deadline.

A renter calls on a Saturday afternoon: keys due back soon, deposit on the line. You’re mid‑clean in someone’s kitchen, so Night Owl takes the call and books a walkthrough.

Every call opens like this one: the caller hears it’s an AI assistant and that the call is recorded.

Example call — CleaningIncoming call at 1:14 PM
  1. AI assistant: Hi there, you’ve reached [Your Shop]. An AI assistant is taking this call, and it’s being recorded. What do you need cleaned?

  2. Caller: Hi. I’m moving out of my apartment, and I need it cleaned before I turn in the keys.

  3. AI assistant: I can help with that. What’s your name, and which city is the apartment in?

  4. Caller: Alicia. It’s in Oxnard. The keys go back on the 30th, at noon.

  5. AI assistant: Thanks, Alicia. How many bedrooms and bathrooms? And do you know the square footage?

  6. Caller: Two and two. Around 1,100 square feet, I think.

  7. AI assistant: Do you want the inside of the oven and fridge done too? And are there any pets?

  8. Caller: Yes to both. The oven’s pretty rough. And I have a cat, so there’s fur.

  9. AI assistant: Got it. For move‑outs, the owner gives a price after a quick walkthrough. I have one open Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Does that work?

  10. Caller: Wednesday works. Can you get it cleaned before the 30th?

  11. AI assistant: I can’t promise a cleaning date. That’s the owner’s call. I’m texting them your deadline, noon on the 30th, right now. You’re set for Wednesday at 5:30, Alicia.

What it asks

Your quote questions, already asked.

Square footage, the date, the extras, the pets: everything you need to price the clean, already in writing.

  • Name and part of town

So you know whose home it is and how far the drive is.

  • Type of clean

Regular, deep, or move‑out, and whether it’s one time or recurring.

  • Square footage and rooms

Rough square footage, plus bedrooms and bathrooms: the numbers you price from.

  • The date they need it

A key handoff, guests coming Saturday, or “any weekday works.”

  • Extras they want

Inside the oven, inside the fridge, interior windows: whichever add‑ons you offer.

  • Pets in the home

Dogs or cats, how much fur to expect, and whether a pet will be there during the clean.

Every answer and the time it booked come to you in one text, before you’ve packed up the caddy.

Do the math

How many cleans went to voicemail?

A missed call might be one move‑out, or a regular who’d have booked you every other week. The $250 clean we started with is only an example. Move the sliders to match your business. Here’s the math, worked out with example numbers.

$250
30%
Revenue walking out the door each month
$1,625

Night Owl pays for itself if it saves just 1 job a month. The one-time $497 setup is covered by 2 jobs.

The math

  1. 5 calls a week × 52 weeks ÷ 12 months = 21.7 calls a month
  2. 21.7 calls × 30% = 6.5 jobs
  3. 6.5 jobs × $250 = $1,625 a month

FAQ

Cleaning questions, answered plainly.

Can it give a price for a clean?

It can tell callers your starting price for a standard clean, if you’d like it to. Deep cleans and move‑outs vary too much, so the real price comes once you’ve confirmed the details or done a walkthrough.

Can it book recurring cleans?

It books the first clean into an opening you’ve given it, and notes how often they want you back: weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. You set the regular day with the client.

What if a client wants to reschedule?

It writes down who called, which clean they mean, and the day they’d like instead, then texts you. It doesn’t move or cancel a booked clean on its own, so nothing changes until you say so.

Do my regular clients have to talk to the AI?

Not when you pick up. Regulars who reach you still get you. If you’re elbow‑deep in a client’s oven and miss one, the first thing they hear is that it’s an AI and the call is recorded, and then it takes down what they need.

Can it answer “Do you bring your own supplies?”

Yes. At setup we load in your answers: supplies, what a deep clean includes, which towns you cover. Anything it doesn’t know becomes a message on your phone.
